Bio
Assyl Kudyshev is a visual artist working primarily in oil, charcoal, and pen. His work explores the tension between built environments and nature, with a focus on light, mood, and space. Drawing from observation, memory, and daily life, he creates paintings, drawings, and prints that reflect quiet moments and layered environments.
Born in Kazakhstan, he studied in the United States, where he pursued mechanical engineering and urban studies. Though his formal education focused elsewhere, art remained a quiet thread running through those years. He is currently deepening his studio practice and exploring new ways to share his work with others.
